Dermalux MD MKII MK II® · How it works

Tri-Wave Phototherapy

Three clinically-calibrated wavelengths, delivered together by patented ceramic LED — each penetrating to its own depth to do a different job. Blue clears blemishes at the surface, red rebuilds collagen in the dermis, and near-infrared eases inflammation deep below. No heat, no needles, no downtime.

Blue 415 nm · blemish-fighting

Clarifying

The shortest wavelength, absorbed right at the surface. Blue light is taken up by porphyrins inside acne bacteria — generating reactive oxygen that destroys them, clearing breakouts and calming the oil glands.

Penetration ≈ 1 mm — epidermis & sebaceous glands
Blue 415 nm light Acne bacteria destroyed Oil glands calmed

Red 633 nm · the hero wavelength

Rejuvenating

Absorbed by the mitochondria in dermal cells, red light charges them like a battery — firing fibroblasts to lay down fresh collagen and elastin, smoothing fine lines, evening tone and calming redness.

Penetration ≈ 2–3 mm — into the dermis
Red 633 nm light Fibroblasts energised New collagen & elastin

Near-Infrared 830 nm · invisible to the eye

Repairing

The deepest-penetrating wavelength. Near-infrared drives energy and repair through the full dermis and below — reducing deep inflammation, calming redness and supporting recovery from procedures and chronic conditions.

Penetration ≈ 5 mm+ — deep dermis & below
Near-infrared 830 nm Deep cellular repair Inflammation eased
A note from Matt

"Light is the unsung hero of skin health. I use Dermalux on its own and alongside almost everything else — to calm, to heal, to enhance recovery and results. It asks nothing of you and gives a great deal back. If skin health is the goal, this is one of the gentlest, most evidence-backed ways to support it."
